In determining the award recipients, all contenders will be subject to the following selection process:

Frost & Sullivan analysts shortlist/nominate major contenders in each award category

Analyst team conducts detailed research and assessment on market performance of companies, and table the findings along with recommendations and justifications
(Please refer to selection criteria for methodology employed)


Independent Panel of Judges deliberate the findings of the analyst team and decide on the deserving award recipients

Award culminates at a dinner where the deserving recipients are honored




Frost & Sullivan follows a rigorous measurement based methodology to select and nominate leading companies in Malaysia’s telecommunications industry for each award category. After which, the nominees will be evaluated based on actual market performance indicators. The following measurement parameters will be used in conducting the detailed evaluation of each nominee based on actual market performance indicators. Some variations on specific measurements may apply to certain categories (please refer to individual award category description). Base year for benchmark study is financial year 2009.

  • Revenue growth for the company
  • Market share in specific category and growth in market share
  • Demonstrated leadership in new product introduction and innovation
  • Breadth of products and solutions
  • Major customer wins
  • Subscribers and growth in subscriber base
  • ARPU and growth in ARPU
  • Data strategy
  • Next- generation service strategy
